Gerber Collision & Glass in Urbandale, IA, is seeking an auto body technician to execute the WOW plan and perform comprehensive vehicle repairs. You will plan repairs, prepare customer estimates, and expertly use cutting guns, plasma cutters, and hydraulic tools to restore vehicles to factory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Technical training or apprenticeship in auto body repair is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicles.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resin when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and install new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts, and repaint to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
