Job summary

The Office of Children’s Services, part of the State of Alaska, seeks an Eligibility Technician II in Juneau to determine eligibility and authorize benefits for Title IV-E and Medicaid for children in state and Tribal custody. You will perform independent case work, resolve discrepancies, and support centralized eligibility processes within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include processing Medicaid for children in state guardianship and assisting with Social Security benefit

Qualifications

• Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate eligibility determinations and benefit authorizations for Title IV-E and Medicaid.
• Perform independent case work for Medicaid for children in state custody and Tribal custody under a Tribal/State agreement.
• Identify, research, and resolve inconsistencies to reach determinations or redeterminations of eligibility.
• Support centralized eligibility functions and cover vacant positions.
