Job summary

The Office of Children’s Services in Juneau, Alaska seeks an Accounting Technician 1 to join our team. You will assist in maintaining provider records, setting up vendors, and ensuring timely payments for foster care, childcare, adoption, and out-of-state providers.

Responsibilities include auditing provider accounts to identify overpayments, issuing notices, and working with providers to determine appropriate collection methods while adhering to state regulations and departmental policy.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical work experience with record keeping, computer use, and basic arithmetic.
• Substitutions: vocational accounting/program or post-secondary education can replace experience.
• Applicants must provide transcripts and references at interview.
