Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an Eligibility Specialist Supervisor to lead a team that determines program eligibility for senior populations and ensures timely benefits such as SNAP and Adult Medicaid. The role is based in Rockdale County, Conyers, GA.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of customer contact experience; preferred candidates have experience as Eligibility Specialist 2/3 and Gateway Eligibility System training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of customer contact/interaction experience.
• Four years of job-related customer contact/interaction experience, and 1 year in a lead worker, team lead, or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and support to assigned team/unit of Eligibility Specialists.
• Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to customers to ensure outcome measures are achieved.
• Ensures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Develops and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within units and with other agencies and providers.
• Assesses staff performance and provides ongoing development and training.
• Interviews, hires, directs, trains, and evaluates employees; recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Leads and administers a comprehensive system of customer support and public assistance.
• Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
