Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of eligibility programs and determination processes.
• Experience with public assistance eligibility operations.
• Understanding of case processing procedures and workflow management.
• Familiarity with state and federal program requirements.
• Ability to analyze data and generate operational reporting.
• Knowledge of QA and quality improvement principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with electronic case management and eligibility systems.
• Research and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process eligibility actions requiring research or clarification.
• Analyze case information to determine next steps for applications, renewals, changes, and redeterminations.
• Research and resolve discrepancies, system alerts, and missing information.
• Ensure compliance with eligibility policies, federal and state requirements.
• Perform case research using Department systems and reports.
• Identify cases approaching processing timeframes and escalate as needed.
• Assist with statewide efforts to reduce pending workloads and improve disposition.
• Coordinate with ESS staff to resolve complex eligibility issues.
• Develop and maintain tracking for actions, referrals, and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and summaries related to eligibility operations.
• Monitor workload and ensure timely completion.
• Identify operational barriers and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support statewide eligibility initiatives, system changes, and directives.
• Participate in workgroups, training, and special projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
