Job summary

The Department of Economic Security, located on the Navajo reservation in Tuba City, AZ, seeks an Eligibility Interviewer to determine eligibility for Nutrition, Medical, and Cash Assistance. This on-site role requires strong customer service, data entry, and independent decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• Ability to navigate common computer software and data entry.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility for Nutrition, Medical, and Cash Assistance.
• Interview clients in person or by phone and collect information.
• Enter data accurately and complete applications during interviews.
• Adhere to agency standards for attendance, service levels, and accuracy.
• Explain eligibility requirements to applicants from diverse backgrounds.
