Job summary

The State of Missouri's Family Support Division seeks a Benefit Program Technician for the Butler County Customer Service Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. You will determine eligibility for food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance and interview clients to collect information required for decisions.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of customer service experience or a Bachelor’s Degree. Lively, compassionate, non-judgmental people are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; OR Bachelor's Degree.
• At least four years of customer service experience.
• Ability to interview clients in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and continuing eligibility for Missouri citizens for food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance.
• Interview clients in person and by telephone at the Butler County Customer Service Center.
• Prepare summaries and other eligibility documentation as part of the case file.
• Assist applicants with information about programs and required documentation.
