Job summary

Knowledge Services is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to process applications and maintain cases in the State eligibility system from its on-site South Bend, IN location.

You will handle inbound calls from Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF applicants, ensure timely issue resolution, and stay current with program guidelines. Strong communication and data-entry accuracy are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Indiana Eligibility experience strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to type at least 40 keystrokes/minute.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Applies eligibility rules to initial or continuing determinations.
• Verifies customer information across system interfaces.
• Handle inbound calls from Medicaid, SNAP, TANF applicants and others.
• Attend meetings and trainings; stay updated on programs.
• Clarify eligibility information with customers.
• Escalate risks and route technical issues as needed.
• Meet QA and performance metrics.
• Perform case repairs and data reprocessing accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Perform duties as assigned.
