Job summary

Otis Elevator Company is seeking a New Equipment Project Manager to oversee coordination of multiple new equipment installation projects in Lombard, IL. You will drive on-schedule, within-budget execution while meeting safety and regulatory standards, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will coordinate activities from award to financial close, work with sales and field teams, and provide updates to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years elevator project management or construction experience.
• Experience in elevator/escalator industry preferred.
• Familiar with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Able to read architectural and structural drawings.
• Team-oriented and adaptable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft software in technical environments.
• Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• High school diploma.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or business administration preferred or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-schedule, within-budget project execution meeting safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver first-in-class customer service and adhere to Absolutes.
• Coordinate contract activities from award to financial close.
• Work with sales and field operations to meet scope and installation.
• Provide regular progress updates to leadership.
• Communicate with contractors, owners, managers, architects and authorities about design and scheduling.
• Collaborate with sales, construction superintendents, and leadership to ensure project success.
• Manage billing, owner/contractors’ payments, vendor load-up and receivables, RFIs, and change orders to maximize cash flow.
• Interpret contract documents and cost of changes.
• Read and review drawings.
• Analyze situations and develop contingencies for estimates.
