Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Restaurant / Hospitality Management preferred.
• 2+ years of full-service restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in leading and developing a high-performing team that reflects Vandelay’s culture.
• Lead daily floor operations, ensuring seamless service and an elevated guest experience.
• Model warm hospitality and empower team members to create memorable moments.
• Address guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into opportunities.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of staff.
• Oversee scheduling, shift planning, and labor management.
• Maintain strong service pace, execution, and cross-team communication.
• Monitor and support achievement of labor, inventory, and operational metrics.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure menu quality and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and proper storage.
• Maintain a polished and inviting restaurant environment.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and foster effective communications between front-of-house, back-of-house, and leadership.
• Use guest feedback to drive continuous improvement in service and operations.
