Job summary

You will oversee service, culinary execution, and guest experiences while driving profitability and growth across markets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service high volume operation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Trustworthy, detail-obsessed and open to constructive feedback.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
• Desire to engage guests and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team reflecting Vandelay culture.
• Create memorable dining experiences by exceeding guest expectations.
• Foster a high-energy, service-oriented environment.
• Respond to guest concerns professionally and creatively.
• Oversee daily operations with precision for seamless service.
• Drive financial performance through forecasts and budgets.
• Analyze monthly P&L and present action plans.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and retain exceptional talent.
• Build leadership bench and plan succession.
• Execute initiatives to increase sales and guest check average.
• Maintain food and beverage quality according to standards.
• Oversee purchasing, invoicing, and storage controls.
• Maintain restaurant aesthetics and upkeep.
• Complete paperwork—reports, payroll, POs, HR—accurately and on time.
• Identify safety hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead weekly manager meetings and GM meetings.
• Use guest feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Apply fair disciplinary actions and uphold Vandelay standards.
• Serve as Vandelay ambassador and promote growth and hospitality.
