Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary Learning Center. You will design personalized learning experiences for students with IEPs, delivering targeted instruction and utilizing engaging curriculum resources within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include creating daily lesson plans, tracking progress, and collaborating with families to foster growth. A strong emphasis on PBIS and differentiation supports student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• IL professional educator credential in process or active.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or active.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
• Familiarity with IEPs and special education services.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in core subjects.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Use varied instructional software and resources.
• Track student progress and maintain records.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators.
• Maintain PBIS framework across classroom and school.
• Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with standards.
