Ombudsman Educational Services is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional planning for elementary students with IEPs. You will design personalized lessons, integrate curriculum resources, and use educational software to address diverse needs, while aligning with state standards.

The role emphasizes PBIS implementation, collaboration with staff and families, and ongoing progress documentation to support at‑risk learners in a dynamic learning center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required or in progress.
• Hold or be pursuing IL professional educator credential and SSE/LBS1 credential.
• Experience with IEPs, differentiation, and collaborative instruction in alternative settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary students with IEPs in learning centers or classrooms.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curricula and educational software.
• Create lesson plans aligned with standards and student objectives.
• Implement PBIS strategies and document student progress and reports.
• Coordinate co-teaching, differentiation, and crisis management as needed.
• Maintain organized files, schedules, and a safe classroom environment.
