Job summary
Ombudsman Educational Services is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our Alternative Education team. The role involves leading instructional processes for elementary students with IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction, and designing personalized learning experiences in learning centers and classrooms.
The ideal candidate has IL PEL, SSE or LBS1 credentials, and experience with PBIS, curriculum development, and collaboration in co‑teaching settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field.
- to obtain and maintain IL PEL credential.
- IL SSE or LBS1 credential required or in process.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
- Deliver targeted instruction and create comprehensive lesson plans.
- Utilize educational software and resources to support diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate student files and progress reports.
- Collaborate in co‑teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
- Adapt curricula to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs, goals, and interventions.
- Plan and organize daily lessons aligned with standards.
