Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks a Special Education Teacher for an Elementary Learning Center. You will lead instructional planning, deliver individualized and collaborative instruction, and design compelling lessons aligned with state standards for students with IEPs.

You will utilize technology, track progress, and participate in PBIS initiatives while supporting a diverse learner population in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed or in process of obtaining IL PEL credential.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience in curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and adapt curricula to diverse needs.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and interventions.
• Create detailed daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Maintain organized classroom environment and progress reports.
• Collaborate with staff to support PBIS and positive behavior.
