Job summary

Westside Community Schools in Omaha, NE seeks a Support - Elementary IT to maintain and troubleshoot district-wide technology at elementary sites. The role focuses on routine tasks and moderate troubleshooting to keep classrooms functioning smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associate IT preferred), strong Apple device know-how, and solid skills with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. This is a full-time, 12-month position starting Summer 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree in IT or equivalent preferred.
• Troubleshooting Apple devices (macOS, iPadOS) and basic networking.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Able to work in a team with students and staff.
• Self-starter; able to operate independently on assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient, positive, and enthusiastic technical support to elementary school district staff and students.
• Organize, prioritize, and accomplish varied work as assigned within the district help-desk ticket system.
• Perform moderately complex hardware tasks, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices.
• Troubleshoot and replace classroom A/V equipment and presentation systems.
• Respond to moderately complex inquiries by staff and students, routing ambiguous problems appropriately.
• Assist in executing department-level projects, such as device deployments and end-of-year collections.
• Assist with record-keeping and data entry for technology inventory.
• Perform routine checks of classroom technology to ensure devices are connected and powered.
