Job summary

Qualifications

• At least two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Active personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: complete LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of start date and prior to teaching in LifeWise classroom; participate in annual LifeWise Summit; attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or LifeWise Meet-Up per year; stay up to date on training and updates by checking LifeWise email.
• Teach LifeWise Classes: use LifeWise curriculum, map out curriculum customization, implement curriculum, invest in relationships with students through prayer, maintain an organized and redemptive classroom environment, apply LifeWise policies and resources.
• Maintain Records: take attendance each class and provide records to program director/school officials; maintain class rosters including health concerns and permissions; prepare information for substitutes.
• Maintain the Classroom: keep a clean, attractive classroom; know emergency procedures; purchase supplies with funds provided by program director.
• Communicate: act as LifeWise ambassador, attend open houses and outreach events, maintain dialogue with school personnel, build relationships with volunteers, submit updates and photos to director; promote LifeWise religious mission in all duties.
