Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks a part-time LifeWise teacher who blends Bible knowledge with engaging classroom instruction to share the gospel with public school students.

The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with a mature Christian faith, strong communication skills, and a heart for mentoring students; you will complete required training, teach using LifeWise curriculum, maintain records, and promote the mission in the school community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church setting
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and prior to teaching in the LifeWise classroom
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and customize as needed
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly
• Cultivate an organized, encouraging and engaging classroom environment
• Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources
• Take attendance in each class and maintain rosters and health notes as noted on permission slips
• Prepare information for a substitute teacher as needed
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures
• Purchase classroom supplies using funds provided by program director
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and promote the mission
