Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks a part-time teacher to share the gospel in a LifeWise classroom with public school students, using the LifeWise curriculum and building meaningful student relationships.

The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include training completion, lesson planning, attendance and roster maintenance, and regular communication with school staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and build relationships with students.
• Maintain attendance records, class rosters, health notes and permissions.
• Keep a clean, organized classroom and manage emergencies appropriately.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director; share updates and photos.
