Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share biblical teaching with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

The role requires completing the LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and participating in annual LifeWise events, while maintaining attendance and classroom records and promoting LifeWise's

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise beliefs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the curriculum and map out lessons.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, and health notes; prepare substitute materials.
• Keep a clean, organized classroom and adapt teaching methods to be redemptive.
• Communicate with school staff, volunteers, and program director regularly.
