Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share biblical lessons with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

The role involves completing training, teaching with LifeWise curriculum, building relationships with students, maintaining records, and representing LifeWise in the community.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church setting.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in building relationships with students and praying for them regularly.
• Create an organized, encouraging, and redemptive classroom environment.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters; prepare materials for substitutes.
• Maintain a clean and well-ordered classroom; manage supplies.
• Communicate with school personnel, attend outreach events, and engage volunteers.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions.
