Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time LifeWise Teacher to share the gospel in classrooms and build relationships with students in partnership with local schools. This role emphasizes a mature Christian faith and active church involvement, aligned with LifeWise values.

The teacher will train, use the LifeWise curriculum, engage students with relational teaching, and maintain records and classroom management in a supportive school setting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum to lesson plan and map out curriculum customization
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly
• Cultivate an organized, encouraging and engaging classroom environment with redemptive discipline
• Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and health notes as needed
• Prepare information and materials for substitute teachers as needed
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergencies and purchase supplies as needed
