Job summary

Ansonia Public Schools invites applications for the position of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Prendergast Elementary School. The BCBA will lead behavior-analytic efforts, develop IEP-related goals, conduct FBAs, and implement behavior intervention plans while training staff and supporting students in crisis.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Director of Pupil Services, data-driven decision making, and adherence to best practices in applied behavior analysis within a school

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• BCBA Certification required.
• LBA Certification considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-district programming in partnership with the Director of Student Services.
• Build staff capacity through training, modeling, and monitoring of student data and outcomes.
• Provide consultation to district staff regarding student intervention and instruction.
• Streamline data collection processes and supervise data collection with graphing progress.
• Develop behavioral goals to monitor treatment and outcomes.
• Attend meetings and present data and progress reports.
• Train classroom and support staff on behavior intervention plans.
• Conduct on-site observations and competency reviews to guide staff training.
• Co-author and review behavior goals for IEPs to ensure best practices.
