Job summary

Sharp Services, LLC is hiring an Electronic Technician I for the 3rd shift in Macungie, PA. The role requires robust troubleshooting, knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, and serialization equipment, with fostering safe work practices in a GMP environment.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, robotics exposure, and strong communication skills. Overtime weekends may be required as part of production support.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree in Electronics is required.
• Experience with PLC programs and vision inspection systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and good communication skills required.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and CGMP regulations preferred.
• Experience with Robotics and programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to line calls and perform PMs on a regular basis.
• Maintain safe work practices.
• Troubleshoot equipment using electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Evaluate malfunctions with urgency to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a log of equipment repairs and problems.
• Use plant electrical test equipment as needed.
• Set up line equipment and Cognex Vision Systems.
• Set up Systech Serialization Systems.
• Install or assist in installing new equipment.
• Assist maintenance during major plant breakdowns.
• Overtime on weekends may be required.
