Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking an Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift at our Saegertown, PA facility. This hands-on role supports engineering staff with setup, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of mechanical equipment and processes.

Responsibilities include machine setup, routine testing, calibration, and collaboration with engineering teams on automation and layout updates. Overtime may be required; work is on-site with full-time hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and shop orders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery to support manufacturing processes.
• Perform routine tests, inspections, calibrations, and adjustments for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, and identify issues to avoid downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on automation improvements and machine installations.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine setup and requirements.
• Support design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and prototyping of components.
