Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Wheaton, IL is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to install, configure and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, sensors, motors and drives. This role requires hands-on fault diagnosis and ladder logic programming.

You will work 3rd shift with overtime after 40 hours and double time after 48, plus benefits such as health, dental, vision and 401(k). Relocation assistance offered. In-person work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience with PLCs and servo systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE) preferred.
• Experience with encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O, and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital controls for 480V, 3-phase power distribution, motors, drives, and soft starts.
• Maintain encoders and load cells; service Laser Guided Vehicles and conveyors.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic as needed.
• Diagnose and implement communications protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
