Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in the United States seeks a Maintenance Operative to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in support of site goals. You will conduct routine preventive maintenance, inspect drives and belts, read blueprints, and use hand and power tools to diagnose problems, replace parts, and test equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Trade School is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in electromechanical or hydraulic systems is required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a continuous operating manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience in PLCs is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; use hand and power tools used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose problems and determine replacement or repair of parts; estimate materials, labor, and equipment from blueprints.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and minimal technical guidance.
• Licensed forklift operator.
• Compliance with OSHA Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to work at heights up to approximately 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance actions such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts.
• Repair machines and equipment using hand tools and testing devices.
• Service, repair, adjust, and test machines and devices.
• Perform fabrication including machining and general design and fit.
• Diagnose problems and test adjustments.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts with hoists and power tools.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Work with engineering on special projects as needed.
• Assist in mold setup and welding/cutting when required.
• Promote safety at all times.
