Job summary

Fuse Integration in San Diego, CA, is seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineer to join onsite. You will balance design rigor with practical hardware solutions for defense applications, collaborating with Electrical, Systems, and Production teams to deliver integrated products for warfighters.

This mid‑level role offers growth, requires 4+ years in mechanical design, proficiency in SolidWorks (MBE, eDrawings) and GD&T, and the ability to obtain US SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Mechanical Design experience.
• Familiarity with Y14.100 GD&T standards.
• Expert SolidWorks capabilities including MBd/eDrawings.
• Sheet metal and machined parts fabrication knowledge.
• Understanding of cable routing in enclosures.
• Ability to obtain US SECRET Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implement mechanical systems and packaging for programs.
• Design and develop dynamic tactical communications systems.
• Create and maintain mechanical drawings and BOMs.
• Interact with vendors for parts and assemblies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing of designs.
• Support prototype builds and integration with software/network.
