Job summary

Fuse Integration Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to design and validate hardware for warfighter systems. You will own mechanical packaging, drafting, and interface documentation while collaborating with Electrical, Systems, and Production teams.

The role emphasizes iterative design, hands-on testing, and integration with software and networks. Requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Eng and 4+ years of experience, with US citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and 4+ years of experience.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain US SECRET Clearance.
• Experience with Solidworks family and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement mechanical systems and packages for customers and internal programs.
• Support dynamic tactical communications systems design and development.
• Generate and maintain mechanical drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Interact with vendors for parts and assemblies, and perform trade studies.
• Lead and participate in design reviews and prototype builds.
• Support integration between hardware, software, and network systems.
• Plan, execute, and document testing and post-event reporting.
• Translate customer requirements into subsystem specifications.
• Provide on-site and remote operational support; travel may be required.
