Job summary

Fuse Integration in San Diego, CA, is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to design and improve mechanical systems for defense-focused products. You will collaborate with Electrical, Systems, and Production teams to deliver robust, field-ready hardware solutions for warfighters.

Ideal candidates have SolidWorks proficiency, experience with GD&T, and a track record in hardware development, fabrication, and integration with software and networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and 4+ years of experience.
• Strong CAD skills with SolidWorks and MBd/MBD experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawing practices (Y14.100 / Y14.5).
• Experience with sheet metal and machined parts fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement mechanical systems and packages for customers and internal programs.
• Support design of dynamic tactical communications systems.
• Develop sustaining engineering for existing products.
• Perform trade studies and participate in equipment selection.
• Create and maintain mechanical drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and prints release.
