Vertiv in the United States seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing to perform acceptance, commissioning and maintenance on electrical power systems up to 500kV. You will lead testing, analysis and reporting, and mentor junior technicians in fast-paced project environments.

The role requires NETA Level III/IV certification, 7+ years of HV testing experience, and willingness to travel regionally up to 75%. Vertiv offers competitive hourly pay, generous overtime, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification required and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with test equipment including Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.
• Ability to read one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Interpret results and write comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on multi-discipline projects.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
