Job summary

RTX seeks a hands-on Test Solutions Engineer in Tucson, AZ to design, build, and integrate electrical test systems for mission-critical defense products across their lifecycle. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure test equipment meets performance and reliability standards from development labs to production and sustainment.

The role requires a STEM degree and hands-on laboratory experience, with DoD clearance eligibility and a Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline. Degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience operating laboratory test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, waveform/function generators, spectrum analyzers, or network analyzers) to test hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate electrical test products, interface adapters, cabling, and custom test fixtures for complex defense systems.
• Develop detailed schematics, circuit board layouts, and electrical engineering documentation.
• Validate and characterize hardware performance utilizing lab test equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware integration issues across development and production.
• Support project execution by ensuring test system designs meet technical performance, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and reliability engineers to deliver integrated test architectures.
