Job summary

TIC is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead multiple electrical teams on major power generation projects. You will ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards while guiding planning, scheduling, and cost management processes on site.

The role demands a proactive leader who mentors junior staff, coordinates with engineers and clients, and drives quality and efficiency across fossil fuel projects. Travel and field leadership are involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in construction, with 3+ in superintendent/leadership roles overseeing electrical work.
• Proactive, self-motivated leader with strong initiative and decision-making.
• Familiarity with Kiewit policies, procedures, and PM software.
• Strong problem-solving and team morale maintenance abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in leadership, safety, negotiation, planning, and contract administration.
• Hands-on electrical installation expertise with licensing; degree may substitute with supervision.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA standards and OSHA safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior superintendents, foremen, and field engineers to build a high-performance team.
• Review and approve labor rates to maintain budget integrity.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and proactive issue resolution.
• Foster client and onsite staff collaboration for a respectful project environment.
• Lead planning sessions and problem-solving meetings with clients and engineers.
• Contribute to monthly progress reports and cost updates.
• Assist in review/approval/negotiation of change orders.
• Drive project completion protocols and turnover processes for closeout.
