Job summary

TIC in the United States seeks an Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical teams on major power generation projects. You will guide planning, scheduling, and cost management while ensuring NEC and IEEE compliance and quality outcomes across fossil fuel generation work. Travel to varied project sites is expected.

This role emphasizes mentorship, subcontractor coordination, client relations, and proactive problem solving in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction, 3+ years in leadership overseeing electrical installs.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Able to master Kiewit policies, procedures, and project software quickly.
• Strong problem solving; resolve challenges promptly to maintain progress.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities for diverse teams.
• Leadership, safety, negotiation, planning, and contract administration.
• Hands-on electrical install expertise; journeyman license preferred; degree considered with supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA; OSHA familiarity for safe on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and development for junior superintendents and engineers.
• Review and approve labor rates to keep budgets fair and accurate.
• Support contract administration and lead subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Build positive client and onsite staff relationships for collaboration.
• Lead planning sessions and problem-solving with clients and engineers.
• Contribute to monthly progress reports and cost updates.
• Assist in change order review and negotiation to manage scope.
• Support turnover protocols and closeout processes for client satisfaction.
• Maintain daily records and documentation for reporting and compliance.
• Ensure effective performance evaluations and promote leadership up to General Foreman.
