Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a lead Electrical Supervisor to represent the company at a construction site and oversee the Electrical group. You will coordinate workers, materials, and equipment, ensure specs compliance, and maintain safety and QA/QC standards.

Provide project oversight through all phases, resolve scheduling issues, and manage performance. The role requires a Journeyman or Master Electrical License and extensive heavy industrial electrical experience in Oil & Gas or Power sectors.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience supervising Heavy Industrial Electrical projects.
  • Must be able to work night shift.
  • Hold a Journeyman or Master Electrical License.
  • Oil & Gas and Power experience required; Renewable experience a plus.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk the property.
  • Carry up to 50 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead representative for the company at a construction site.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the Electrical group.
  • Provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project.
  • Coordinate workers, material, and equipment to meet schedule.
  • Ensure specifications are being followed and quality standards met.
  • Maintain accountability for site safety and QA/QC procedures.
  • Look ahead to avoid conflicts in timing between crafts.
  • Resolve scheduling problems and determine work priorities with staff and customer reps.
  • Define and monitor subordinate performance expectations.
  • Monitor daily progress and counsel subordinates on performance.
  • Write reports and administer policies; keep procedures up to date.
  • Respond to time pressure during emergency situations.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend wage adjustments.
  • Exercise disciplinary authority, up to termination when warranted, with management input.
  • Work in operating facilities following safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • 5 years of experience supervising Heavy Industrial Electrical projects involving a variety of layout, installation, and construction and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to work night shift
  • Must hold a current Journeyman or Master Electrical License
  • Oil & Gas and Power experience required
  • Renewable experience a plus
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
