Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design LV, HV, and EHV power systems with emphasis on substations. You will lead engineers and drafters through detailed electrical and physical design for high voltage substations and coordinate with clients, vendors, and procurement.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in substation design, and knowledge of NEC/IEEE standards; experience with SEL/GE relays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in design of transmission level substations.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE and other applicable codes and standards.
• Minimum 3 years of application experience with SEL, GE relays.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team for substation/transmission design projects.
• Develop single-line switching and protection diagrams.
• Create equipment specifications and support procurement.
• Review and coordinate substation drawings, calculations, and layouts.
• Coordinate design with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
