Job summary

RigUp is seeking a Substation Engineer for the Power Networks team to design and support high-voltage substations (69kV and above). You will lead technical work, coordinate with project managers and drafters, and ensure QA/QC on deliverables.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of substation experience, with PE license preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in substation design.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis tools (ETAP/CYME/SKM) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for substation facility designs (69kV+).
• Prepare layouts, groundings, lighting, shielding, and control building arrangements.
• Perform power system studies: load flow, short-circuit, protection and coordination, fault calculations.
