Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to design LV, HV, and EHV power systems with a focus on substation design for transmission and distribution projects. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver engineering and construction support, develop diagrams, BOMs, and equipment specs.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical or Power Engineering, 2+ years of substation design experience, and familiarity with NEC/IEEE standards, relays, and protection schemes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE and other applicable codes and standards.
• 2+ years of design experience on transmission-level substations (13.8kV-500kV).
• Experience with protection, control, SCADA, and relay schemes (SEL, GE, etc.).
• Ability to review and produce single-line, protection and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design LV, HV, and EHV electrical power systems with emphasis on substations.
• Develop single-line switching and protection diagrams.
• Create equipment specifications and support procurement.
• Develop cable, conduit schedules, and BOMs.
• Coordinate design with clients, vendors, and field teams.
