Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks a civil/structural designer for LV, HV, and EHV substation design. You will create and revise electrical substation drawings, focusing on civil/structural aspects for transmission and distribution systems.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and ability to update designs based on field as-builts. Occasional travel to field sites or client offices may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience for transmission level substations (13.8kV – 500 kV).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and mentor junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise design drawings of HV transmission substations.
• Develop foundation plans and structural steel details.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to design standards.
• Maintain and update drawing files to reflect field as-builts.
• Travel to field sites or client offices as needed.
