Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer to design LV, HV, and EHV electrical power systems with emphasis on transmission and distribution substations. You will collaborate with engineers and drafters on detailed design, equipment specs, and construction support for assigned projects.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of codes, and 2+ years in substations design. Travel approx. 10%. Equal Opportunity Employer; E-Verify.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE and other applicable codes/standards.
• EIT preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission-level substations (13.8kV–500 kV) including protection schemes.
• Develop single-line switching, protection, and SCADA diagrams for substations.
• Prepare equipment specifications and support procurement with vendors/contractors.
• Develop three-line and DC schematic diagrams and BOMs.
• Coordinate design with clients, vendors and project teams; attend meetings.
• Ensure engineering documents and records are properly maintained.
