Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a civil/structural designer to develop LV/HV/EHV electrical power substation drawings. You will create site plans, foundations, and steel details, with responsibilities including peer review and updates for field conditions.

The role requires 5+ years of transmission substation design experience, strong communication, and proficiency in AutoCAD; MicroStation is a plus. Travel to field sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years' experience in design of transmission level substations (13.8kV - 500 kV).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise design drawings for high voltage substations (transmission/distribution).
• Develop site plans, foundation plans, and structural steel details.
• Peer review and maintain drawing files; update as-built field conditions.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to design standards.
