Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Startup Discipline Lead for a Lake Charles LNG project. You will drive startup planning, coordinate with project teams, and manage risks to ensure schedules and requirements are met. Relocation for national family moves is available.

The role requires a strong background in precommissioning, commissioning, and startup activities with supervisory experience. You will influence operations manuals and staffing for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 10–13 years' experience or 14–17 years total relevant work experience.
Minimum 7 years in Precommissioning, Commissioning, Startup or operations with ≥2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

Responsibilities

Lead startup discipline on projects with up to six direct reports.
Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction and clients on startup plans.
Identify risks, track progress and adjust plans to meet schedules and requirements.
Prepare operations manuals and guidance for startup and operations teams.
Estimate staffing needs and project task schedules.
Supervise personnel and provide technical guidance within area of responsibility.
Assist in preparation of project proposals.
