Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Engineering Leader for LNG and related projects across the US Gulf Coast region. The role directs field engineering, planning, material management, safety, and turnover activities and requires mobility to various Bechtel sites as needs arise.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive construction engineering experience, senior supervision capabilities, and a strong understanding of ES&H practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Technical knowledge of construction engineering across a discipline interfacing with other areas.
• Familiar with Bechtel's ES&H Handbook, Core Processes, and environmental compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops construction engineers; supervises field engineering activities.
• Oversees work planning, packaging, and constructability coordination with design.
• Manages material receiving, warehousing, and delivery of materials for field use.
• Owns quantity take-off, reporting, and forecasting for assigned scope.
• Ensures safety/quality controls and zero-accident practices in operation areas.
• Coordinates system turnover between Construction and Startup; interfaces with Startup Specialist.
• Reviews and approves inspection/test plans and coordinates subcontract submittals.
