Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Heat-Treating Technician – Electrical Resistance with 2–5 years of ERHT experience in industrial settings. You will perform PWHT, preheat, and install insulation and thermocouples while coordinating with welders and inspectors on field and shop sites.

Responsibilities include programming temperature cycles, recording data, and ensuring QA/QC compliance; travel and extended shifts may be required in oil, gas, and power environments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on ERHT in industrial environments.
• Familiarity with ASME, API codes and weld procedures.
• Ability to read P&IDs and isometric drawings.
• Willingness to travel and work extended shifts.
• TWIC and OSHA 10/30 or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, operation, and breakdown of electrical resistance heating systems.
• Execute PWHT and preheat activities per procedures and codes.
• Lay out and install heat treating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles.
• Interpret weld procedures and heat treat drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment and controls during operations.
• Coordinate on-site with welders, inspectors, and clients.
• Maintain heat cycle records and QA/QC logs.
• Follow safety procedures for elevated temperatures and electrical equipment.
• Train junior technicians as assigned.
• Rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
• Travel between job sites as required.
