Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Electrical Projects Engineering Lead to guide strategic CAPEX roadmaps and critical electrical infrastructure at our Austin fab. You will mentor engineers, govern power distribution design and safety standards, and drive capital projects from feasibility through turnover.

You will own technical direction, performance metrics, and collaboration with project managers and field teams to ensure reliable 24x7 operations and compliant installations.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• Texas PE license preferred (or transferable).
• 5+ years electrical design and project leadership in industry.
• Deep knowledge of MV/LV distribution and protection schemes.
• Experience with capital projects, CIP/R&M, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical project teams and allocate resources across multiple CIP/R&M projects.
• Oversee design, code compliance, and safety validation of power systems.
• Approve site electrical specifications for MV/LV equipment.
• Manage external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Drive safety culture and regulatory compliance across facilities.
• Oversee QA/QC reviews and feasibility/design reports.
• Provide technical mentorship and career growth for engineers.
