Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, including substations and UPS systems.

You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, lean initiatives, and capital project management while guiding SCADA/FMCS alarms, budgeting, and vendor negotiations to ensure reliable, cost-efficient electrical services for world-class semiconductor production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of progressive industrial electrical engineering experience.
• At least 5 years in a leadership/management role within a high-tech manufacturing environment (semiconductor, data center, or heavy industry).
• Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) License

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and ensure electrical safety performance (e.g., arc flash, LOTO).
• Oversee capital and capacity projects for large-scale industrial electrical distribution systems.
• Drive lean improvements to inventory and spare parts management.
• Represent department with utilities, regulators, and external groups.
• Support SCADA/BMS alarm response and maintenance planning.
• Ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA 70E/OSHA and local regulations.
• Develop and manage annual electrical expenses budgets.
• Negotiate terms for electrical services and construction.
• Develop reliability and quality improvements while fostering learning and development within the team.
