Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of electrical distribution systems. You will drive safety, compliance, and capital projects while championing Lean principles to increase reliability and energy efficiency.

You will mentor teams and coordinate with utilities, regulators, and internal stakeholders. You will oversee SCADA/FMCS integration, budgeting, and performance improvements to support world‑class

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 10+ years in industrial electrical engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Extensive knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution systems
• Knowledge of SCADA/FMCS integration, power quality analysis, arc flash safety (NFPA 70E)
• Experience leading large-scale capital projects for electrical infrastructure
• Strong leadership and process-improvement skills with Lean/Six Sigma
• Excellent communication with senior leadership and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and electrical safety programs
• Oversee capital and capacity projects for electrical systems
• Drive lean optimization for inventory, reliability and efficiency
• Represent department to utilities, regulators, and external groups
• Manage SCADA/FMCS alarm response and maintenance activities
• Ensure NEC/NESC compliance and budgeting for electrical operations
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors for electrical services
• Develop safety and reliability improvement projects
• Foster learning and career development within the team
