Job summary

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is seeking a Project Manager, Electrical to oversee electrical design, maintenance programs, and field inspections for Western Operations. The role requires coordinating with engineers, consultants, and vendors on complex HV systems.

The candidate will develop maintenance contracts, evaluate reliability, and provide technical resolutions, ensuring code compliance and safe operation of 480V–69kV equipment across MWRA facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• At least five years of electrical design or field experience.
• Experience with high voltage and hydro-electric operations or equivalent.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.
• Ability to determine code compliance in field installations.
• Must have Massachusetts Class D license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and administration of maintenance contracts.
• Guide proactive maintenance for reliability and maintainability of equipment and facilities.
• Assist in electrical design modifications and upgrades.
• Prepare conceptual sketches, measurements and drawings; provide drafts and final versions with minimal guidance.
• Coordinate with Program Manager, Electrical and consultants on project activities.
• Provide technical resolution and troubleshooting of electrical problems during operation.
• Maintain knowledge of codes and standards applicable to electrical field.
• Act as resident field inspector on electrical projects and review payment requests.
• Participate in planning, testing, inspection and operation of HV systems.
