Job summary

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support maintenance programs, design development, and field inspections for Western Operations.ROLE requires 5+ years of electrical design/field experience and a Bachelor's in electrical engineering.

Candidate will oversee contracts, ensure code compliance, and troubleshoot high voltage systems across MWRA facilities. Telework is not available; position based in Southborough, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• At least five years of electrical design or field experience.
• Experience with complex industrial controls, high voltage switch gear and hydro-electric operations.
• Equivalent combination of education or experience accepted.
• Ability to determine field code compliance.
• Ability to define and clarify code-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer maintenance service contracts for MWRA facilities.
• Support proactive maintenance programs and reliability of equipment and safety systems.
• Assist in electrical design development and layout changes for plant equipment.
• Prepare sketches, field measurements, and review data; provide draft layouts.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors on projects.
• Provide diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting of electrical machinery failures.
• Ensure compliance with codes and maintain facility specifications.
• Inspect and review contractor payments for projects.
• Assist in testing and operation of medium/high voltage systems.
