Job summary

Capstone Copper is hiring an Electrical Project Manager I for Pinto Valley Mine in Arizona. The role focuses on managing small to medium capital and sustaining projects, with emphasis on electrical systems, from concept through design, procurement, construction, and closeout.

You will work as an electrical SME with project teams, operations, and contractors to deliver reliable solutions while ensuring safety, cost, schedule and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology or senior electrician.
• 1–3 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
• Experience with power distribution systems and electrical design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from scope through construction and closeout, including charters, scoping, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking.
• Develop and review electrical designs and ensure compliance with site standards and codes.
• Lead bid walks, evaluate contractor proposals, support contract development, and coordinate contractors.
• Monitor field activities to ensure safety, environmental, and design compliance; guide contractors to maintain quality and schedule.
• Track costs and timelines, manage change orders, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain engineering drawings and documentation; provide regular project status updates to leadership.
